Food Test Error, My Misadventure with the Waiter
Another busy day, we packed goodies for the annual Handog Pasko. We missed a lot of quizzes and lessons and even homeworks. It was a crappy day. The head teacher for the packing of the goodies doesn't even say "thank you" and she doesn't even remember your name.. Good thing by 11:20, I, together with a batchmate and 2 other teachers went out of school in search of a cab. We found one around 11:30 or 11:40. We went to Kulub Filipino in mission to taste a variety of food to be served in our JS Prom. We sat there and we were served with 3 types of food per course.. 3 different soups, 3 different salads, and 3 different main courses. We were served with bread and crackers, salads and soup as our appetizer.. We ordered our drinks. The waiter suggested that we take their iced tea, so we agreed. I was eating the salad then when i placed my fork down to get more salad, the waiter got my salad plate and didn't return anymore. So, i was surprised and got over it somehow. I suggested the vegetable soup because i think it's the most tasty soup among the others. So we were done with the soup and went on. I asked the waiter about their "unusual" iced tea. He said it has a different flavor. In my opinion, the tea seemed to have a scent of a car perfume. And he asked the QUESTION, "Hindi ba masarap ang iced tea namin?" Of course, i don't want to be the villain there so i replied, "Ay, hindi naman po sa hindi ito masarap, kakaiba lang po ung iced tea nio sa usual na iced tea. Astig nga po eh, kakaiba, unique ika nga." So i thought i was ok with the waiter so i just drank the water instead. But after i was halfway with my water, i put it down to get the main course, but my gloomy waiter got my glass and carried it with him, away from me. So, i didn't mind it until i was choking with my main course. I asked for a glass of water from another waiter and he asked where's my glass. I told him his buddy got it. So he served me another one. When we were done with our main course, my bestfriend, the gloomy waiter, wrapped our placemats away.. So i wondered where's our dessert. He said in a gloomy voice, "Meron po kyong dessert. Hintayin nio nalang." Then after a while, our chocolate caramel cake came, i got a plate, but i found out there was a foil, so i didn't mind it. Anyhow, our mission with the food was over. And mind you, their restroom for the ladies was nice.. More appealing than for the gentlemen.. We arrived at school, well, bloated.. We only had bread in our doggy bags. But we were then obliged to go to the mall to buy gifts for the elders, duh, u know them. It was a fun misadventure. Duh, the only consequence for that is i missed a lot of quizzes and lessons. At last, i felt how it is to miss a lot of things... Crap, all those for food? =) MORAL: A sense of humour is very important. A smile can win friends.
